The SPFL has today confirmed that the draw for the group stage of the 2026/27 Premier Sports Cup will take place on Wednesday May 27 at 1.00pm.

The draw will be broadcast live online by Premier Sports and the SPFL, with further details to be published in due course. The format remains unchanged, with 40 clubs participating across five matchdays in the group stage. The five clubs taking part in UEFA competitions next season will join the eight group winners and three best runners-up in the last 16.

The three guest clubs for the 2026/27 Premier Sports Cup have now been confirmed as Linlithgow Rose (Lowland League winners), Brora Rangers (Highland League winners) and Brechin City (Highland League runners-up).

As previously announced, next season’s tournament will kick off on the weekend of July 11/12, with the group stage concluding a fortnight later and the last 16 scheduled for the weekend of August 15/16. The final will take place on Sunday December 13.
