David Carson joins the Lions!
Livingston FC is delighted to announce the signing of midfielder David Carson from Inverness Caledonian Thistle, subject to SFA approval.
The 28-year-old made over 160 appearances for the Highlanders since joining from English non-league side Morpeth Town in 2019.
Youth team spells with both Sunderland and Newcastle Utd were followed by a move to Ashington before signing for Blackburn Rovers in 2014. David returned to the non-league set-up with South Shields, Whitby Town and Morpeth before that move to Scotland in 2019 where he was signed by former Livingston striker, John Robertson.
David has penned an 18-month-contract, will wear the number 4 shirt and will be available for Saturday’s trip to Ibrox to play Rangers.
First-team Manager David Martindale said: “I am delighted to secure David’s signature and bring him into the club.
“He can play in a number positions but, for me, is best in a defensive midfield role.
“He has bags of endeavour and desire to work hard for the team and I’m sure this will see him quickly become a fans favourite.”
Welcome to West Lothian, David!
