First-Team Goalkeeper Coach & Head of Academy Goalkeeping Opportunity

We’re now looking to recruit a men’s first-team goalkeeping coach who can develop and enhance the goalkeepers within the first-team playing squad, as well as overseeing the youth academy goalkeeping department.

Role Specifics

  • To oversee the training and development plans of all first-team squad and the academy squad within Livingston FC. This will include the creation of curriculums of work to prepare the players for the game-related challenges that will be faced throughout the football season.
  • To ensure the prepared training programme is interlinked with the performance department and covers all physical requirements for the specific individual players.
  • To review and prepare analytical footage to be viewed and discussed with players and coaching staff. This will include match and training footage and can be interspersed with alternative examples of good practice.
  • To work alongside the first-team manager and coaching staff, providing knowledge and expertise in preparation for the working week that can be implemented on match day.
  • To seek to utilise your knowledge, experience and standing within the game to always promote the Club and to strengthen its standing within the wider football community.
  • To produce a goalkeeper briefing note on defending against each of our upcoming opposition on each team, to be delivered ahead of the relevant fixture.
  • To produce monthly goalkeeper development and pathway progress reports for review by the first-team manager which include data-driven metrics and KPIs to measure the efficiency of your own performance, as well as the performance of the goalkeepers.

Requirements

  • This role is only available to UK passport holders or individuals who hold a work permit to be employed in the UK.
  • A minimum goalkeeping B license.
  • Previous experience of working as a first-team goalkeeping coach at a professional level.
