Livingston WFC were held to an uneventful goalless draw as they took a point from the road against Glasgow Women. A 5th clean sheet of the season earned Livingston a draw as neither side were able to make the breakthrough in Bellshill.

The biggest chances of the game happened inside of three minutes, with the home side cuasing problems for Livi at corner kicks. A corner by Kayleigh Barghati hit the cross bar, before a second corner forced defender Jess Murphy to heroically header off the line to deny Glasgow from opening the scoring.

Another big chance fell the way of Glasgow, with Morgan Anderson firing over following another corner kick. A few long range shots by Raewyn Murphy and a half volley for Emma McFadyen were Livingston’s only real opportunities in the first half, but all chances went off target.

The second half went very much the same as the first, with both teams really struggling to break one another down. A couple of opportunities were presented to both teams on the counter attack, but all promising chances lacked a final ball which broke down the moves.

Livi’s first chance on target came just after the hour mark, with Jen Dodds teeing up Beth McKay who forced a good save from Khym Ramsay in the Glasgow goal. Vhairi Munro and Courtney McAvoy would try their luck from outside the box but both chances failed to hit the target.

Glasgow had the last two real chances of the game, with Jess Murphy making a great last ditch challenge before Schenai Gamrot made a good save to deny Elisha Duff in the dying moments of the game.

Both teams were unable to cancel each other out in the end, with a point earned for the Lionesses on the road. Livingston are next in action on the 3rd of March, as Gartcairn visit the Tony Macaroni Arena.
