Hibs match preview
After a trip to Ibrox last Sunday, we’re back on the road tomorrow as the Lions head for Easter Road to take on Hibernian.
Our last visit to the green side of the capital ended in a 2-2 draw after the hosts pegged us back from 2-0 up at the break. Goals from Steven Lawless & Craig Sibbald had us ahead but a Scott Allan penalty and a last-minute strike from Martin Boyle ensured a share of the spoils.
Both sides go into tomorrow’s game with ambitions of a top six spot – however, it’s the Lions who go in with the better form having accumulated 12 points from our last 6 league matches compared to the 11 the hosts have gained. Resultantly, the Lions sit one point above the home side going in to this one.
The addition of Efe Ambrose to the squad this week means there’s an added spotlight on the trip with the defender returning to Easter Road for the first-time since December 2018 when he played his last game for the Hibees in an Edinburgh derby.
On the reverse of that, we’ll be up against a familiar face ourselves in Marc McNulty who re-joined the Edinburgh club in January. Sparky spent 5 years with the Lions between 2009 & 2014 making 117 appearances and helping himself to 45 goals.
Tickets will be available to purchase from Easter Road on the day, but these will be limited to Adults (£23) and concession (£14) and can be bought from the South Stand POD between 1pm and 2.45pm.
The LiviLions Supporters Club also have spaces remaining on the coach to the game with a flat rate of £7 per head. You can find full details on pick-up points and times here – https://bit.ly/2HBolbM
As ever, your support for this one will be hugely appreciated – see you there!
