This weekend, we are back at home as we face Inverness Caledonian Thistle at the Home of the Set Arena. Both teams are coming into this game from wins. We will look to continue and back up the performance from last weekend with another win. With only 3 points separating the sides, it should be a close encounter.

We are coming off a dominant 4-1 away win against Greenock Morton. Goals from Polworth, McGowan (he’s still trying to claim the second goal), Danso and Doherty secured all three points for the lions and ensured we left with our first away league win of the season. We have scored 6 goals and only conceded 5 in our last 5 games. We look to continue from last weekend’s result and a repeat performance in front of our fans.

Inverness Caledonian Thistle is coming off a 3-1 away win against Ayr United. This fiery game started quickly for the visitors, in the 4th minute, Longstaff’s strike found the back of the net. It only got better for the visitors as just 13 minutes later, they doubled their lead through Duncan’s header following a corner. Just shortly after, in the 28th minute the hosts got back into the game through Stirton’s shot following a corner. The next goal didn’t come until the 72nd minute as MacKinnon’s shot found the back of the net following a well-worked corner. They have scored 7 in their last 5 matches, conceding 13 and haven’t kept a clean sheet in 5 matches. The visitors are also on a high after an impressive away win and will look to repeat that once again.

The key players to look out for this match will be Jordan Doherty, who earned a place in SPFL’s TOTW for his brilliant performance last weekend. He’ll be hoping to continue his brilliant form from last weekend with solid defensive play which and he was rewarded with a goal too. Another one to look out for is Emmanuel Danso, who also put in a solid performance last time out. His work rate off and on the ball and just the ability to control that midfield was key to our success last weekend. In our last 5 games against the opponents, the visitors have the upper hand, winning 4 and 1 draw. Last time out was a 2-2 draw in the Challenge Cup in October 2024. Our last win was back in September 2017 where we won 3-1.
