Job Opportunity – Lead Data Scientist
Livingston Football Club is seeking an ambitious, innovative and highly motivated Lead Data Scientist to join our football operations department.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the club’s sporting strategy through the application of data, analytics and technology. Working across recruitment, performance, medical and technical departments, you will be responsible for transforming complex data into actionable insights that directly influence player recruitment, match preparation, player development, performance optimisation and strategic decision-making throughout the club.
The successful candidate will combine a deep understanding of football with advanced analytical and technical expertise. You will thrive in a fast-paced, elite sporting environment and work closely with coaches, analysts, recruitment staff, sports scientists and senior football leadership on a daily basis.
This role also requires strong systems-building and programming capabilities, with responsibility for developing scalable infrastructure, automating workflows and creating bespoke analytical tools that support football operations across the organisation.
