Liam Polworth the latest Lions addition

We’re delighted to announce the pre-contract signing of Liam Polworth from Kilmarnock, subject to the usual SFA approvals.
The experienced midfielder arrives in West Lothian with a strong pedigree in Scottish football and brings creativity, composure and a wealth of top-flight experience to the squad ahead of the new season.
Polworth began his career with Inverness Caledonian Thistle, progressing through the youth ranks before establishing himself as a key figure in the first team. During his time in the Highlands, he was part of the Inverness side which famously lifted the Scottish Cup in 2015, and also lifted the Challenge Cup in 2018.
After making over 200 appearances for Inverness, Polworth moved to Motherwell in 2019, where he enjoyed a further two seasons in the Premiership as well as playing, and scoring, in the Europa League. In his spell at Fir Park, Liam had 25 goal involvements in just over 60 appearances.
A move to Kilmarnock followed in 2021 where the Rugby Park side won the Championship at the first attempt to return to the top flight, with Liam playing the first-half of the season there, and the second-half on loan at Dunfermline. He returned from his loan spell for the start of the 2022-23 season, continuing to add valuable Premiership experience to his career since, featuring for Kilmarnock over 150 times since, including further appearances in the Europa League and Europa Conference League during the 2024-25 campaign.
Comfortable both in deeper midfield roles and further forward, Polworth’s experience and technical quality will provide a major boost to the squad as preparations continue for the 2026/27 campaign.
Everyone at the club warmly welcomes Liam to West Lothian and we look forward to seeing him in a Livi shirt.
