Livingston 0-1 Hearts
In an afternoon of experimentation the visitors from the Premiership pipped Livi to the post by a single first half goal.
As is usual in pre-season encounters, both sides fielded numerous substitutions as Managers David Hopkin and Ian Cathro tested various lineup combinations.
Hearts dominated for the most part and were rewarded on 20 minutes with the only goal of the game. Rory Currie broke through the middle and slid the ball through to Don Cowie, who squared it for Cole Stockton to fire in off the bar to mark his debut for the Jambos.
Several chances followed for both sides before the unusual sight of Hearts making 9 substitutions at once to effectively change their starting side.
And despite a few close shaves, the Lions’ defence held firm to lock Hearts out till the final whistle.
