Livingston FC supporting Movember.
With November just around the corner, (most of!) the players and staff at Livingston FC have decided to take part in “Movember” 2021 where, in short, we’ll all be sporting some weird and wonderful moustaches over the month, whilst aiming to raise money for charity at the same time.
The funds raised by Movember go towards supporting work in mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer. You can read more on the work that Movember does here – https://uk.movember.com/?home
With the recent news of Daniel Barden’s testicular cancer diagnosis, it seemed an incredibly apt time to to get behind this campaign, support Dan and help raise money for an incredibly good cause.
Club captain Nicky Devlin said: “In light of the news last week about Dan’s horrific situation, the team wanted to do something to show our support and let him know that everyone was fully behind him.
The Movember campaign is fantastic as it raises awareness for extremely important health issues that many men may face. We felt now more than ever, it was an appropriate time to use our platform to help raise awareness and money for these causes. Hopefully we can do just that and help raise some money, but more importantly help raise awareness, especially for testicular cancer.
From everyone at Livingston Football Club, please take the time to learn about Movember and thank you in advance for your support.”
We’ll keep you all updated with progress photos across the month with a group shot at the end of November to see who’s managed to produce the best mouser – and the worst!
If you’re in a position to be able to do so and would like to donate to the cause, we’ve created a JustGiving page that you can visit on the following link – https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/livingston-football-club
As well as donating, why not get involved and share your own progress photos with us too?!
