Livingston WFC Launch U19’s National Performance
Following the successful launch of Livingston Women FC in partnership with Blackburn United, we are pleased to announce the formation of Livingston Women U19’s NP team for season 2021.
This exciting venture ensures that we continue to deliver a pathway from Blackburn United up to Livingston Women, in turn allowing the younger players with a clear direction as they start and continue their footballing journey.
Livingston WFC are therefore looking for ambitious players to augment the current U17 squad which will make the transition from 17’s to 19’s on the conclusion of season 2020.
All training and matches will be held here at The Tony Macaroni Arena with the squad training opposite the first-team and depending on application and development, the players will be invited to train/play with the first-team to ensure their continued development progresses.
Livingston FC Head of Football Operations David Martindale said:
“It’s another exciting development and one that we at the football club fully support. It’s fantastic to see the work the guys at the ladies team are doing and I’m sure they will be reaping the rewards over the coming years.”
Ladies Head Coach Paul Jaconelli commented:
“Very excited to add a NP team to the pathway from girls football at Blackburn to senior football at Livingston which can only be a positive for all involved, training opposite the women’s team will assist them with there development and goals, we hope to see these talented players move into women’s football in the seasons ahead. Exciting times for all.”
These are exciting times for Livingston & Blackburn United and for Girls and Women’s football in West Lothian on the whole.
