Loan Report | 15/16th October 2021
Here’s a look back at how our loanees got on across the weekend.
Joel Nouble & Harrison Clark – Arbroath
It was defeat for Arbroath this weekend as they went down 2-1 away to Raith Rovers. The Starks Park men led 2-0 at the break before a late Anton Dowds strike reduced the deficit but it wasn’t to be for the Red Lichties. Joel played the full 90 minutes whilst Harrison was an unused substitute.
Next up – Ayr United (H).
Gavin Reilly – Greenock Morton
Gavin started and played 70 minutes for Morton this weekend as the Cappielow men travelled to take on Inverness but goals either side of half-time from Billy McKay and Michael Gardyne secured a 2-0 win for the hosts and means the Greenock side remain in 9th place.
Next up – Queen of the South (A).
Matej Poplatnik – Raith Rovers
Matej got the bragging rights over Joel and Harrison as Raith sealed a 2-1 win at home to Arbroath. Matej had to settle for a spot on the bench but came on in the 74th minute to help the Rovers see out the win and move up to second place in the Championship.
Next up – Inverness CT (H).
Josh Mullin – Hamilton Academical
A night to forget for Hamilton as they went down 6-1 at home to Partick Thistle. Josh played the 90 minutes as Accies remain in 8th place.
Next up – Kilmarnock (A).
Carlo Pignatiello – Dumbarton
It was another 90 minutes in the tank for Carlo this weekend, but a disappointing result as the Sons last 3-0 at home to league leaders Queens Park.
Next up – Airdrieonians (A).
Brian Schwake – Edinburgh City
A valiant effort Brian and his Edinburgh City teammates as they lost 3-2 at home to runaway league leaders Kelty Hearts. The Citizens took an early lead but found themselves 3-1 down just after half-time. Innes Murray pulled one back late on to force a nervy finish but it wasn’t to be as Kelty left with all three points.
Next up – Bo’ness United (H) – Scottish Cup.
