Loan Round-Up – Saturday 9 January 2021
Here’s this week’s loan round-up where a weekend of freezing weather meant only a few of our loanees were in action.
Robbie Crawford
Robbie was an unused substitute as Motherwell drew 1-1 away to St Mirren. Motherwell had led through Devante Cole but a late Jamie McGrath penalty meant the points were shared.
Raffa De Vita
Edinburgh City pulled off a cup shock on Sunday, beating League 1 side Airdrieonians 1-0 away from home. Raffa started the game and was substituted in injury-time as the Citizens booked a trip to Forfar in the 3rd round.
Salim Kouider-Aïssa
Partick Thistle’s match at home to Cowdenbeath was postponed with the Firhill playing surface frozen due to the recent low temperatures.
Lars Lokotsch
There was no game for Lars this weekend either as Raith’s trip to Stirling Albion also fell victim to the weather.
Brian Schwake
It was almost a cup upset for Brian and Linlithgow as The Rose took Forfar to extra-time but fell just short. Linlithgow took the lead early in the first-half but were pegged back just minutes later. The game would end 1-1 after 90 minutes however a 3 minute blitz from the hosts in which they scored 3 times meant the League 1 side ran out 4-1 winners in extra-time. A valiant effort from Linlithgow and some good Scottish Cup experience for Brian.
Ross Stewart
There was no game for Ross this weekend as Hearts opponent for their Scottish Cup 2nd Round tie is yet to be decided after Camelon and Brora failed to beat the weather during the week.
