Loan Round-Up – Thursday 12 November 2020
With some additional Betfred Cup group stage games this midweek, we had some of our loan players in action – here’s how they got on.
Raffa De Vita
Raffa came off the bench in the closing stages on Wednesday night to help Edinburgh City secure an impressive 1-0 away to our opponents on Saturday, Airdrieonians. Blair Henderson’s goal in the 5th minute was enough to seal the win and means the Citizens finish the campaign on 4 points, having also drawn with Stenhousemuir.
Jack Hamilton
Jack Hamilton made it 5 goals in 7 games for East Fife on Tuesday night after scoring their first goal in a 3-2 defeat to Championship side Heart of Midlothian. Jack made it 2-1 after the Jambos had raced in to an early two-goal lead. Hearts made it 3-1 before the Fifers pulled another back but couldn’t do enough to nick the draw.
Brian Schwake
It was a first league defeat of the season for Brian and Linlithgow Rose on Wednesday as they went down 3-2 at home to Lothian Thistle Hutchison Vale. The Rose had led twice before being reduced to 10 men at 2-2 on 85 minutes, allowing Lothian to nick the win. Youngster Brodie Strang, also on loan from the Lions, made his debut from the bench.
Ross Stewart
Ross Stewart made his second appearance for Hearts on Tuesday night and kept up his 100% winning record – coming up against Jack Hamilton’s East Fife side. Ross wasn’t able to keep Jack out but did make a string of big saves towards the end as East Fife pushed for a late equaliser.
