Marvin Bartley – Livingston FC Captain for 2020/21
Marvin Bartley will lead the Lions next season after being officially confirmed as club captain for 2020/21.
The midfield man, who joined from Hibernian last Summer, deputised in Alan Lithgow’s absence for large parts of last season and will now take on the captains armband for the new campaign.
Featuring in 36 of our 38 matches last season, Marv has quickly become a stalwart of the Lions squad with his team-mates thriving off his leadership and experience. As fate would have it, Marv’s only goal for the club so far came at Tynecastle against his old foes Hearts – one that he certainly savoured!
Our league winning reserve squad also felt the benefit of Marv’s guidance last season as he joined the coaching staff and helped steer the team to the Reserve League 2 title. During the lockdown period, he’s continued to help the younger members of that squad with regular zoom training sessions to keep the boys involved and interacting.
We’ll have an exclusive interview with the new captain on LFC Live over the weekend – make sure you’ve subscribed to the new channel to see that.
