Max Stryjek is a Lion
Livingston FC is pleased to announce the signing of 24-year-old Polish goalkeeper Max Stryjek on a three year-deal.
Max joins from English National League side Eastleigh where he featured in 43 of their 46 fixtures in the 2019/20 campaign.
Having worked through the academy ranks at Sunderland after joining from MKS Polonia as a youth in 2013, the Warsaw-born ‘keeper enjoyed loan spells at Boston United, Accrington Stanley and Eastleigh, before joining “The Spitfires” permanently last Summer. In the initial loan spell at Eastleigh, he made 15 appearances, only losing twice and keeping five clean sheets. He saved a penalty on his debut to quickly endear himself to supporters.
Many had expected Max to sign a new deal with Sunderland last Summer and become second choice to Jon McLaughlin, however, he chose to move to Eastleigh, eager to play first team football.
Max has represented Poland at U17, U18 & U19 level as well as being called to the under-21 side.
We’ll have an exclusive interview with the goalkeeper over on LFC Live later today – make sure you’re subscribing in order to see it.
