New addition to the off-field team!
Livingston FC is pleased to welcome Liam Innes to the club as Tannoy Assistant, joining Colin Young in our match day announcement team.
Liam is a familiar face around the club, firstly as a long-term supporter and season ticket holder but also as one of the voices of Livingston FC fan podcast Almondview Podcast.
With VAR due to come into play later on this season, the club was looking for someone to come in and be involved in the implementation of VAR, assisting with communicating VAR pauses to the match crowd as well as assisting Colin with the regular match day announcing and Liam fits that bill perfectly.
You might also recognise Liam’s voice from Livi song “Pride of our Town” that Colin already blasts out over the speakers on a match day.
Liam said: “It’s not quite sunk in that it’s happening. I’ve been a season ticket holder for 20 years now, and Colin has been the voice of Livi that entire time, so to have the opportunity to help him out is amazing.
“To be involved in any capacity with the club as a fan is dream come true stuff as well. I’m looking forward to getting started, and… Mon eh Livi!”
Head of Media Dave Black said: “In all honesty, as soon as we knew that Liam was interested in coming on board, it was a no-brainer to make it happen. Someone who is well-known to the club already but in terms of carrying out the role, Liam possesses all the attributes and experience to assist Colin with the matchday announcing and we’re delighted to have him involved.
We look forward to seeing Liam grow into the role over the coming weeks and quickly becoming another asset to our off-field staff.”
Welcome to the team, Liam!
