New Deal for Sean Kelly
Livingston FC is pleased to announce that Sean Kelly has put pen to paper, signing a new two-year deal with the club.
Sean’s contract was up at the end of the 2021/22 season but first-team manager David Martindale has moved quickly to secure the services of the 28-year-old until at least June 2024.
Sean joined the club from Falkirk last summer following spells at Ross County, AFC Wimbledon and St Mirren and made 18 appearances for the Lions this season.
Manager David Martindale said: “I’m delighted to get Sean signed up for a further two seasons.
“Sean took a while to get going but was hampered with niggling injuries which didn’t help, but since he got a consistent run in the team I’ve been delighted with him. Sean is a very intelligent footballer and understands the game and what’s required with very little instruction. He has a great left foot and his use of the ball is very good.
“He is low maintenance and very easy to work with and one player that I am really looking forward to seeing progress further with a proper pre-season under his belt.
“I feel Sean can be a huge player for us next season and it helps that he can play in a few positions, but I have to admit, I do like his attributes in the central midfield area.”
The club can also confirm that youngster Harrison Clark has penned a one-year extension in West Lothian too. Having spent the first-half of the season on-loan at Arbroath and the second-half of the season on-loan at League 2 winners Kelty Hearts, the 19-year-old will remain with the Lions for at least a further year.
