Raith Rovers 2-1 Livingston
2024 drew to a close for the Lions with their second defeat in a row as Rovers held on to their first half lead despite Stevie May clawing one back from the spot.
Currently seeking their third manager of the season, the hosts took advantage of some sloppy defending to go into the interval 2-0 up.
Dylan Easton raced on to a Liam Dick pass to round goalkeeper Jerome Prior and slam into an empty net.
Dick then made a brilliant clearance off his own goal line to prevent a cross from flying in.
Rovers doubled their lead when Aidan Connolly met a cross from Lewis Jamieson to fire home and Connolly curled an effort just wide soon after.
Livingston boss David Martindale made two changes at half-time after losing Tete Yengi to injury after 20 minutes and his side pushed and pressed for a way back without creating many openings.
A lifeline arrived when Ross Matthews hauled down Scott Pittman and Stevie May converted the spot-kick on 65 minutes but Rovers held on without too much fuss and Livi remain six points behind leaders Falkirk, who drew at Dunfermline on Friday.
