Sam Culbert recalled from loan
We can confirm that the club has exercised the option to recall Sam Culbert from his loan spell at Darvel.
Having spent the tail end of last season on loan at Camelon Juniors, the 18-year-old joined West of Scotland Premier Division side Darvel in the summer to continue his development there.
Sam was part of our matchday squad on numerous occasions last season, taking a place on the bench at venues like Celtic Park and Easter Road before featuring for the first-team in pre-season against The Spartans and Kelty Hearts.
First-team Manager David Martindale said: “Sam has done really well on loan at Darvel, alongside training well and performing to a high standard for the reserves. After speaking with the rest of the coaching staff, we feel Sam can help us over the rest of the season, continuing to train and be involved with the first-team on a more consistent basis, which we feel will aid his development further.
“It’s great to have another player involved in the first-team having come through from our academy and I’m looking forward to seeing Sam’s progression here at Livingston now.”
Our thanks go to Darvel for looking after Sam so well during his loan spell and we wish them all the very best for the remainder of the season.
