SPFL cinch Reserve League returns for season 2022/23
The Scottish Professional Football League has today confirmed the return of the SPFL cinch Reserve League for season 2022/23.
The SPFL cinch Reserve League, which is backed by the SPFL’s title sponsor cinch, is to be reintroduced following discussions with member clubs.
The League was paused in season 2019/20 due to the pandemic and will now kick-off for the first time in over two years on Tuesday September 6.
We are one of 10 clubs taking part in the SPFL cinch Reserve League 2022/23, and clubs will play each other once across the season.
Matches are scheduled to take place on Tuesday afternoons.
Neil Doncaster, SPFL chief executive, said: “We are pleased to be able to offer our member clubs the opportunity to be able to play SPFL cinch Reserve League football again, after the League was originally paused due to the pandemic.
“We would also like to thank our partners at cinch for its support of the SPFL cinch Reserve League and its fantastic ongoing backing of the Scottish game.”
The Scottish Professional Football League can also confirm the return of the cinch Reserve Cup for season 2022/23. The draw and fixtures for the cinch Reserve Cup will be published on Tuesday August 2.
