Tony Caig & Liam Fox Move On
Livingston FC regretfully announces that Assistant Manager Liam Fox and Goalkeeping Coach Tony Caig have both left the club.
Caigy leaves Livingston to focus on developing his existing role within the goalkeeping department at the Scottish FA whilst Foxy moves on to pastures new, with an opportunity to progress his coaching career elsewhere.
Everyone at Livingston FC wishes both Liam and Tony all the very best in their new roles.
Liam Fox said: “I’d like to thank the players, the staff and everybody involved with the club for making the last 7 months a fantastic experience for me. For us to finish in the top 6 and make it to a national cup final is a great achievement.
“I’d also like to personally thank Davie Martindale for giving me the opportunity to come into the club and work in a really good environment.
“I wish the club the best of luck for the coming season and the future.”
Tony Caig said: “I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the three and a half years I’ve been involved as goalkeeping coach with Livingston FC.
“It’s been a fantastic journey from gaining promotion to the Premiership, reaching the Betfred Cup Final and back-to-back top 6 finishes which shows just how far the club has come in that space of time.
“I’ve made some great friends at the club along the way , coaching staff , the various people behind the scenes and of course the different ‘keepers & players I’ve had the pleasure to work with.
“I wish nothing but the best of luck to club going forward next season and beyond.”
Manager David Martindale said: “I just want to wish Caigy and Foxy all the best going forward. Both have been fantastic for the club and myself during their tenure.
“It’s not easy replacing such important staff but both go with all our best wishes.”
“The clubs trajectory over the last 5 years has been monumental and as much as we enjoy that success, it unfortunately/fortunately, whatever side of the fence you sit, brings the spotlight onto our players and our staff. Both are moving onto roles which are enhancing their careers.
“We are not inviting applications for either post at this time.”
