We’re delighted to announce the return of midfielder Andrew Shinnie who rejoins the club on a one-year-deal.

Having initially departed the club at the end of the 2023/24 season, dialogue between Andrew and men’s first-team manager David Martindale continued and we’re pleased to be able to have reached an agreement to see Shinnie play his football in West Lothian for the season ahead.

With 116 appearances for the Lions to his name already, the experienced midfielder will add to that tally this campaign, but more than that, will be able to offer knowledge and leadership to the group both on and off the field.

On Andrew’s return, David Martindale said: “When I found out that Shinnie was still undecided on where he would play football this season, I thought we should test the water.

“I spoke to Shinnie over the weekend and when he indicated he would be really open to coming back to Livingston, I knew we had to try to make it happen.

“Shinnie brings a wealth of experience and a game intelligence that can only be gained by playing at the level he has. He is a top professional and I think will be invaluable for us on and off the park this season.

“He will play a huge part in the season for us and will be a hugely positive addition to the group.”

Andrew will continue to wear the number 22 shirt for the season and will be available for selection for this today’s Premier Sports Cup group stage finale with The Spartans.
