Youth duo move on
Livingston FC has today mutually agreed to terminate the contracts of youth players Conor Quinn and Darren Smith.
18 year old keeper Quinn made the step-up from the club’s youth ranks in July 2015, but with the arrival of Gary Maley last year has found it hard to maintain his backup position on first team match days. Despite Conor featuring in our Development starting XI it was agreed the best move all round would be to allow him to move on to pastures new.
Similarly, 19 year old midfielder Darren Smith has featured for our Development side but failed to make an impact on the first team. He was keen to get an opportunity at first team football however, and we had no wish to stand in the way of his ambitions contractually.
We would like to thank Conor and Darren for all their hard work during their time at Livingston FC, and wish them every success in the future.
