A Summer signing with a Winter feel to it…
We’re delighted to announce the signing of forward Andy Winter who joins the club following a 12-year association with Hamilton Academical.
The 22-year-old has been in training with the club for most of pre-season, scoring three times across our five friendly fixtures.
At Hamilton since the the age of 10, Andy has come through the ranks, playing and scoring for Accies youth side in the UEFA Youth League before breaking into the first-team at 17 and scoring on his senior debut, with his Premiership debut coming against the Lions in the 2019-20 season.
Andy represented Scotland at under 16, under 17 and under 18 level and of course, links back up with former manager Brian Rice who handed him his debut at Hamilton as well as having worked with Brian Potter and played alongside fellow summer signing Lewis Smith at Accies too.
Andy joins on an initial one-year-deal, with the club having the option to extend next summer, and will wear the number 16 shirt.
