We’re delighted to announce the signing of defender Besir Iseni, subject to the receipt of the relevant international clearance.

The 26-year-old North Macedonian joins the Lions following the expiry of his contract with Kosovo Superleague side KF Dukagjini, signing a deal until June 2028.

A two-time North Macedonia Under-21 international, Iseni began his senior career with Struga Trim & Lum, where he featured in the UEFA Europa Conference League qualifying rounds.

He moved to Albanian club KF Tirana in 2021, spending two seasons at the club before joining KF Dukagjini in 2023. During his time in Kosovo, Iseni established himself as a regular in defence, making 68 appearances across all competitions and further enhancing his reputation as a composed and reliable defender.

Comfortable at both centre-back and left-back, Besir adds quality and versatility to Glenn Whelan’s defensive options ahead of the new season, and will wear the number 21 shirt for the Lions.
