Cowdenbeath U20 2-1 Livingston U20
Our Development side went down to its second defeat in two games this evening over the Forth in Cowdenbeath.
An incredibly frustrating opening 45 saw Livi’s young Lions pass up several chances to score, with Watt, Sinclair and McQuillan all coming within inches of finding the net. The visitors dominated but had nothing to show for it as the half time whistle sounded.
Cowdenbeath restarted the game much invigorated, and promptly laid siege to the Lions penalty area.
Twice the post came to Livi’s rescue before Cameron Muirhead nodded the hosts into the lead from a Josh Wilson cross as the Lions defence looked on. And the defence was still asleep a minute later when Muirhead raced through to bag a second.
Dale Carrick pulled one back for the Lions 5 minutes from time but it was too little too late.
