DJ signs for Hamilton
It’s the end of an era today as keeper Darren Jamieson put pen to paper on a deal that sees him move to Premiership side Hamilton Academical.
DJ has been at the club since 2008 where he moved up from the youth ranks before making his first team début against Albion Rovers in April 2010.
He served as backup to a few well known names before finally claiming the No 1 shirt as his own and becoming a regular between the sticks for the Lions. His penalty saving ability also secured his legendary status among the Livi supporters.
This season saw him revert to the backup role however, with a loan move to junior side Bo’ness Utd agreed at the beginning of this month. But DJ craved senior competitive football, and when Hamilton expressed their interest in taking him to New Douglas Park we simply couldn’t stand in his way.
DJ leaves the Tony Macaroni Arena with our very best wishes for his future career, and our grateful thanks for so many happy memories over his 8 years at the club.
