We’re delighted to announce that Graham Carey has re-signed for the club on a one-year deal, subject to usual SFA approvals.

After initially joining the Lions last season, Graham made a positive impact with 3 assists in the same game against Kelty Hearts, a pin-point assist for a late Danny Wilson equaliser away to Falkirk and a precise finish from the spot to secure a point at home to Hibs, before spending the second half of the campaign on loan at Dunfermline Athletic. Following the expiry of his contract this summer, the experienced midfielder returned to train with the squad during pre-season as he maintained his fitness while searching for his next opportunity.

Featuring as a trialist throughout pre-season and in our opening Premier Sports Cup fixtures, Graham quickly reminded everyone of the quality he possesses. His performances earned him a new contract, with Tuesday night’s display against Forfar Athletic the perfect example. The 37-year-old produced two stunning goals to help secure victory and deservedly collected the Player of the Match award after an outstanding performance.

Graham’s professionalism, attitude and quality throughout the summer impressed the club’s coaching staff, and he now returns to the Livingston squad for the 2026/27 campaign where he’ll wear the number 27 shirt.

Sporting Director David Martindale said: “I offered Graham the opportunity to come in and use our training facilities this summer, simply to help him stay in a good place while he looked for his next opportunity.

“Throughout his time back with us, he has been fantastic around the place, but most importantly, he has performed exceptionally well in both training and matches.

“We were actively looking to bring in a right winger with similar attributes to Graham, albeit ideally a younger version if I’m being completely honest. However, Graham has shown through all of our testing that he’s still right up there with the younger players in the group in terms of his conditioning, and we already know the quality he brings on the ball. We believe he has the attributes to help us achieve our goal of returning to the Premiership.

“It made sense for all parties to agree a deal for this season, and I’ve got no doubt Graham will make a big contribution to the group going forward.”
