Hello Dolly!
Livingston FC is delighted to announce the signing of Dolly Menga on a 2 year contract. Dolly will wear the number 45 shirt.
Assistant manager David Martindale said “Dolly has been in the pipeline for a week or so and was in training with the club last week. He really impressed and we were keen to get him on a contract.
“He can play on either wing. but predominantly the right; and can play up top as a 9 or second striker. He is a strong, powerful player with a great turn of pace. Dolly also has 10 caps for Angola and is the current National team captain.
“We have been extending our networks over the last 4/5 month in our search for new talent, and realised fairly early on after promotion that we had to look at the alternative markets in order to bring a different caliber of player to Livingston within our budget. We have lost 3-4 players in the summer to Premier League and Championship clubs as we just couldn’t compete financially.
“We are awaiting international clearance for Dolly and he should be available for Saturday.”
Manager Gary Holt said “As Davie has said, Dolly was tied up before I got the job and I’m more than happy with what I have seen from footage, and what I have been told from the coaching staff. We have an extremely competitive squad now and I’m excited to start working with them.”
