We’re pleased to announce the signing of striker Joe Boggan on a two-year deal following the expiry of his contract with Blackburn Rovers.

The 19-year-old forward arrives in West Lothian after progressing through Blackburn Rovers’ academy, where his goalscoring exploits earned him promotion to the club’s Under-21 side. During his time at Ewood Park, Boggan also spent loan spells at Macclesfield and FC United of Manchester, continuing his development in men’s football.

Joe featured as a trialist against Hearts last week and came off the bench in the closing minutes at Brechin last night to make his debut after his clearance was received in the hours leading upto the game. He’ll wear the number 31 shirt this season.

An athletic centre-forward who can also operate in the wide attacking areas, Joe has built a reputation as a hard-working forward with a keen eye for goal and joins the Lions as an exciting young prospect with plenty of potential.
