Livingston WFC 3-3 Dundee Utd WFC

First points of the season lift the Lionesses up the table.
The first moment of action came when Reid charged down the opposing striker. A great starting position meant she got to the ball first and snuffed out the chance.
Up the other end, Rogers was able to skip round the defender before laying the ball through to Sallis, who just narrowly dragged her shot wide of the post.
A lot of back-and-forth possession ensued, with the Lionesses being on the front foot for the most part, keeping the possession firmly within the Dundee United half.
Just on the 20th minute, the account was opened for Livi with Kaitlyn Canavan, who was able to get the ball over the top of a charging Dundee United number 1 and find the back of the net to give us the advantage. An advantage that stuck for the rest of the half.
The first real chance for Dundee United came just after the half-hour mark, with a fizzing ball across the box just out of reach of the striker, who was adjudged to be offside either way.
The goal kick took us back up the other end of the pitch and ended up with Louise Mason wide right of the pitch, who cut inside and fired a thunderous shot toward goal, drawing a diving save from the ‘keeper.
The last action of the half saw a Dundee United freekick defended well and converted into a short-lived Livingston break-away, as Frew was brought down all too early, with the freekick bringing a close to the first period of play.
The second period started with a bang as Katie Frew broke down the line on the nearside and fired a pinpoint cross into the awaiting Kaitlyn Canavan, who glanced a header into the top corner to bag her brace and double the Livingston lead on the day.
Livi came close again shortly after, with Lousie Mason on corners and picking out Katie Frew in the centre of the box, whose header was cleared off the line and out for another corner.
A first break of the half from the opposition ended with the shot blazing over the bar after Alex Reid stood her ground and forced the decision from the striker.
The lead was cut in half just shy of the hour mark, as a ball across the box from the wide area missed everyone in the box before rolling to United’s Steffi Simson, who slotted it into the bottom corner.
A few brilliant challenges in quick succession from Emma Rogers kept the rising attack of Dundee United at bay, however the corner that came as result held the equaliser. After a header collided with the bar, the rebound favoured the opposition, and the ball fell kindly onto the head of Lucy Stevenson and found the net to draw level.
A double change for the home side came shortly after as they looked to shake things up, with Natasha Frew and Aimee Murray took the places of Lila Sallis and Sophie Reid.
Around 70 minutes saw Dundee United get away with one, as a backpass left the goalkeeper short who was only just able to get to the ball in front of the charging Kaitlyn Canavan.
Just after a corner, the ball dropped to the back post, resulting in a brilliant save from Alex Reid. Instead of the expected corner, the referee pulled the game back for a penalty, which was converted into a lead by Georgie Read.
Another sub came for Livi in the form of Aby Pickard, who took the place of Vivienne Strain.
A sub that paid off not long after, just following minute 80 to be precise, after Louise Mason made a storming run into the box, she picked out Aby Pickard with a precise pass, who was then able to find the back of the net and put the sides back on level terms.
2 minutes later saw a great top corner pick-out from Alex Reid, who kept the scores level with a magnificent save on a shot from just outside the area.
The pressure was piling on the home side near the end of the match, as a looping shot struck the crossbar 4 minutes from the end.
