Loan Report | 30th October 2021
Here’s a look back at how our loanees got on across the weekend.
Joel Nouble & Harrison Clark – Arbroath
Joel and Harrison both started for Arbroath on Saturday as the Red Lichties came from 2-0 behind to win 4-2 at home to Dunfermline. A Kevin O’Hara double in the first 12 minutes had the Pars ahead however Tam O’Brien and Joel had Arbroath level at the break before Bobby Linn and former Lion Michael McKenna sealed a fantastic win to keep Arbroath 3rd in the table.
Next up – Hamilton (A).
Gavin Reilly – Greenock Morton
Gavin started and played 55 minutes for Morton this weekend as the Cappielow men played host to Hamilton in Greenock. Hamilton took the lead just before the break and looked set to hold out for all three points before Gozie Ugwu, who replaced Gav, grabbed a 97th minute equaliser to ensure a share of the spoils.
Next up – Dunfermline (A)
Matej Poplatnik – Raith Rovers
Matej started and played 67 minutes for Raith Rovers on Saturday as the Kirkcaldy men recorded a 2-1 win at home to Ayr United. Goals from Ethan Ross and Dario Zanatta had the hosts two ahead at the break before Jack Baird’s 71st strike for Ayr set-up a tense finish but Raith held out to keep within 4 points of league leaders Kilmarnock.
Next up – Queen of the South (A)
Josh Mullin – Hamilton Academical
It was another 90 minutes for Josh Mullin as Hamilton drew 1-1 away to Morton. Accies looked set to pick up all three points but a Morton equaliser in the 7th minute of injury-time meant the points were shared.
Next up – Arbroath (H).
Carlo Pignatiello – Dumbarton
Carlo played the full 90 as Dumbarton went down 2-1 away to East Fife. With 3 players serving suspension after last weekend’s clash with Airdrie, East Fife took full advantage as Liam Newton and Kyle Connell had East Fife 2-0 ahead and despite a 90th minute consolation from Conner Duthie, Dumbarton couldn’t salvage a dramatic late equaliser and the Sons drop to 8th.
Next up – Clyde (H)
Brian Schwake – Edinburgh City
There was no game for Brian and Edinburgh City this weekend due to their planned opponent playing a Scottish Cup replay.
Next up – Albion Rovers (H)
