Olly Green moves on
We can confirm that Olly Green has left the club to join English National League side Boston United on a permanent transfer.
The midfielder has featured 8 times for the Lions since joining from Hull City in the summer but will return south of the border and will hope to help new side Boston United in their battle to avoid relegation.
First-team manager David Martindale said: “Our midfield is arguably the strongest area in terms of the players we have within the squad and resultantly, Olly’s game time has been limited. Olly and I spoke about this and both felt it was imperative that, at this stage in his development, he went out and got game time.
“Ideally, a loan move would have been a good option for the club, but a transfer to Boston was the best option for the player, and he was keen to get back to England and continue his development there.
“He goes with all of our best wishes as he was a genuinly great lad around the place and his potential is there for all to see.”
Olly will link up with former Livingston defender Graham Coughlan who took over as manager of the Pilgrims back in November.
Good luck, Olly!
