Partick Thistle match preview
This Friday, we host Partick Thistle in a 2nd vs 4th encounter, with only 4 points separating the two sides. Both teams come into this game from different perspectives, we are coming off a draw against Greenock Morton whereas Patrick Thistle are coming off a win against Ayr.
This week saw our Manger David Martindale named the Glens Vodka Championship Manger of the Month for November as recently our league form has been strong with four wins and one draw in our last five matches. We are coming into this one after a draw away from home to Greenock Morton. Despite creating many good chances, we were unable to break the deadlock.
Partick will be coming into this game off the back of a 1-0 win against Ayr United and have 3 wins in their last 5. They have scored 10 in their last 5 matches but have also conceded the most penalties this season. They have been on a good run of late and have managed to build some momentum so they will be tough opposition.
One key man for us could be Michael Nottingham, who helped the lions to a clean sheet last weekend. Another key man for us could be Scott Pittman who almost grabbed the winner for us last weekend when he hit the post.
In the last five meetings between the two sides, we have had the upper hand, with 3 wins, 1 draw and only 1 loss. The last encounter saw a 0-0 draw at Firhill in October. We haven’t lost to Partick Thistle in the last 6 meetings, and we will be hoping to make it 7 on Friday.
