This weekend, we are on the road as we face Partick Thistle at Firhill. Both teams are coming into this game from wins in their opening games. We are coming off a 2-0 win, and the hosts are coming off a 1-0 win. We will be looking to keep the positive start going and start fighting to remain at the right end of the table. To do so, we will have to pick up points at tricky away ground.

We are coming off a 2-0 win against Queen’s Park in the opening fixture. We dominated the game from start to finish. Two second half goals from Muirhead were enough to give us the 3 points and start the season off on a brilliant note. We have scored 13 goals and only conceded 1 in our last 4 competitive games. We look towards continuing our good start to the league season and grabbing 3 points.

Partick Thistle is coming off a 1-0 away win against Greenock Morton. A tough, gritty game but the visitors managed to score not until very late on, in the 82nd minute by Letsosa, which secured all 3 points. They have scored 14 in their last 5 matches and have conceded 3. The hosts are looking to redeem themselves as they were close to promotion last season but narrowly missed out in the playoffs so, they will be aiming to do one better.

The key players to look out for this match will be Robbie Muirhead, who has started off this season the same way as he finished last season. Grabbing the 2 goals last time out and he will be looking to add more goals to his tally. He also managed a place in the SPFL’s TOTW. Another one to look out for is Tyrese Sinclair, who has had a positive start to his Livi career, not just bagging the July POTM, but also getting an assist for last weekend’s first goal. He couldn’t ask for a better start, and he’ll hope to continue his brilliant form this weekend.

In the last 5 matches between the sides, it’s split with 2 wins each and 1 draw. We recently faced Thistle in the League Cup group stage which ended in a draw, with the hosts going on to win the bonus point on penalties. Our last win against Friday’s opponents came back in May 2025. We will be looking to repeat that against our hosts, put on a performance and grab a positive result at a difficult ground.
