Raith Rovers match preview
This Saturday, we return to the Home of the Set Arena as we host Raith Rovers in a 2nd vs 8th encounter with 11 points currently separating the two sides.
We are coming off an impressive display against Ayr United away from home. After a fast start, we showed a strong defensive display in the second half to grind out a 2-1 victory which ensured we finished the first round of league fixtures unbeaten.
Raith Rovers are coming into this game after a 1-1 draw at home to Queen’s Park. Their form has been mixed with 1 win, 2 draws and 2 losses in their last 5. They have scored 5 goals in their last 5 games but have failed to score in their last 2 away matches. They will be looking to end that run when they come to visit us.
The key men for us are Scott Pitman, grabbing another goal at the weekend to continue his great start to the season. He will be looking to keep adding to his goal tally. Another key man that will also be looking to add to his goal tally is Robbie Muirhead who grabbed another goal against Ayr Untied after a terrific strike, bringing his tally to 5 goals this season.
In the last five meetings between the two sides, Livingston have had the upper hand winning all 5. The last encounter saw a 1-0 win for the Lions away from home in August. It was a dramatic last-minute winner from Captain Jamie Brandon which brought all 3 points back to West Lothian.
Tickets for this one are still available to buy via Fanbase or in person at the ticket office right up until kick off.
