Renfrew Ladies 0-4 Livingston WFC
The Lionesses cruised to victory away at New Western Park in their opening pre-season friendly of 2024/25.
An experimental Livi side opened the scoring midway through the first half courtesy of a goalkeeping faux pas. The keeper flapped at a hig ball into the box under pressure from one of the Trialists, only to push it into her own net.
The second half saw considerably more action starting with the Lionesses doubling their advantage. A Trialist latched on to a delightful through ball from Jen Dodds and blasted it at the keeper who couldn’t get enough on tit to keep it out.
It was soon 3-0 when a corner from a Trialist swung across the area and evaded everyone before sneaking in at the back post.
And goal number 4 saw the welcome return of Rachel Walkingshaw after a season-long injury. Some nifty footwork swapped the ball to her right peg before unleashing a thunderous drive from the edge of the box beyond the helpless Renfrew keeper.
The side is back on action on Tuesday night where they’ll welcome Stenhousemuir to the Home of the Set Fare Arena. Kick off is at 7:30pm.
