Livingston FC are delighted to see the SFA being so proactive and trying to get more game time for young Scottish players.

As a club, we would have been very open to this being mandatory, but we are pragmatic enough to know that the required votes would probably see a mandatory option being voted out.

It’s a difficult vote to get over the line, but we do feel the SFA have tried their best to accommodate all clubs, and the option presented is probably the best-case scenario that should get the required votes.

So, all in all, a very good meeting, and hats off to the SFA for the way the day was structured and the intent behind the event.

We need to put the good of our game ahead of our own individual club needs.
