Second new face of the day
We are excited to announce the signing of Queen of the South player Lyndon Dykes on a 2 year deal.
Lyndon will go straight back out on loan to Queen of the South for the remainder of the season.
Manager Gary Holt said: “Lyndon has been on the club’s radar for the last 18 months. David was trying to get the lad in during the summer but obviously he was contracted to Queens.
“Davie and I spoke at length about Lyndon and had him watched throughout the first half of the season. We both feel he is a real talent and will play a pivotal part in securing our Premiership status next season and onward.
“Lyndon is a good athlete and we see him as a number 9. He has a bit of everything in his game and that’s what attracted us initially.
“He can play numerous positions in an offensive role which is fantastic for us a coaches. We think we can make him better, and playing against Premiership opposition on a weekly basis can only aid that.
“Lyndon has played around 100 games in the Scottish Championship and knows what’s required to make the step up. He comes to us at a great age and has the inner desire to progress and fits perfectly into the ethos we are continually strengthening at the club.
“We are delighted to get the deal over the line as we know there were 2 or 3 clubs in the Premiership with an interest in Lyndon via a pre-contract.”
