SPFL Trust Trophy 2024/25
The Lions will enter the SPFL Trust Trophy at Round 3 for the 2024/25 season.
We will enter at the third round stage alongside the 9 x second round winners, the clubs finishing 1st-3rd in League 2 in 2023-24, the teams finishing 1st-10th in League 1 in 2023-24 and the teams who finished in 2nd-10th in the Championship in 2023-24.
The third round will be played over the weekend of 7th and 8th September and there will be no seeding or regionalisation at this stage – round 3 onwards will be an all-in, open draw.
The following rounds will take place as follows –
Round 4 (16 clubs – 8 ties) – Weekend of October 12/13
Quarter-finals (8 clubs – 4 ties) – Midweek of November 12/1
Semi-finals (4 clubs – 2 ties) – Midweek of January 28/29
Final – Weekend of March 22/23 or March 29/30
In a change to the recent format, the SPFL Trust Trophy will now only be competed for by teams who play in Scottish leagues, with a larger than ever prize pot up for grabs for competing clubs.
The draw for the opening rounds of the SPFL Trust Trophy will take place in early July.
