St Johnstone match preview
With the dust now settled on Wednesday night’s 2-2 draw with Celtic, we’re back at it tomorrow with a trip to Perth to take on St Johnstone.
The Saints were also in midweek action, picking up a point after a 0-0 draw with St Mirren in Paisley.
Our first visit to McDiarmid Park this season was also our first away game of the current campaign and despite taking a 2-0 first-half lead thanks to goals from Scott Pittman and Steven Lawless, we had to settle for a point after Matty Kennedy and Callum Hendry squared things up.
Pittman was on target again when the Saints came to Livingston in January and his 56th minute strike sealed our first three points of the new decade.
Historically, St Johnstone lead the way in the head-to head record with 13 wins to our 9 (and 5 draws) across all competitions but we head into this one, undefeated in four matches against tomorrow’s hosts.
A victory tomorrow, coupled with a win for Hibernian at Pittodrie, would see the Lions rise to fourth place in the table.
Tomorrow also sees Gary Holt take to the dugout for a 75th time as Livingston manager. Steven Lawless is on course to make his 75th appearance if he features and likewise, Craig Sibbald his 50th.
Tickets will be available to purchase from McDiarmid Park on the day. Full pricing details can be found here – St Johnstone match admission details
