Welcome, Harrison Panayiotou!
Livingston FC is delighted to announce that forward Harrison Panayiotou is the latest new recruit to join the Lions!
“Harry” joins the club on a 2-year deal, with an option of a third year, from Vanarama National League side Aldershot Town, where he was also a team-mate of fellow new signing, Joel Nouble.
The 26-year-old has 25 international caps to his name for Saint Kitts and Nevis, scoring 10 times, including a hat-trick against Turks & Caicos Islands in a 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifier.
Having started his career at Leicester City, Harry made a dream debut for the Foxes, coming off the bench to score a 90th minute winner away to Leeds United.
In 2016, the forward moved on loan to Raith Rovers, scoring his only goal for the Starks Park side in the 90thminute of a 3-3 draw at home to Rangers. He also lined up against the Lions twice that season, picking up two wins for Raith Rovers in the process.
Following his loan spell in Scotland, Harry has since enjoyed spells at Barrow, Salford City and Nuneaton Borough before moving to Greek side Aittitos Spata for a short spell in 2019. On his return to England, Harry joined Aldershot Town where he has remained for the last two seasons, finishing the 2020/21 campaign with 8 goals in 14 games before jetting off to play for his country in 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Harry will wear the number 15 shirt for the season and, subject to international clearance, will be available for Saturday’s Premier Sports Cup clash with St Mirren.
Manager David Martindale said: “Harry has been on my radar for a few months in all honesty as I had watched a lot of his strike partner Joel Nouble while at Aldershot and Harry was involved in a lot of the play with Joel.
“I also remember him from his time at Raith Rovers during the 2015-16 season and I liked him on the occasions I seen him play then.
“It’s a much needed body who, with all things going well, will go into the squad for Saturday.”
Welcome to Livingston, Harrison!
