Well done Cheryl!
Congratulations to “Oor Cheryl” on completing her Pretty Muddy® challenge on Saturday at Ingliston’s Royal Highland Centre.
LFC Head receptionist Cheryl Brock and trainer Christine Murphy successfully navigated 5km of mud and water to raise funds for Cancer Research UK’s ‘Race for Life’ campaign.
She undertook this gruelling event in memory of her friend John Kemp, who was a dedicated football fan before eventually succumbing after a brave battle against the disease.
Cancer has no mercy and affects too many people every year. Our ongoing backing for Team Jak’s work in supporting young cancer patients and their families, and those with other debilitating illnesses, highlights our commitment to help battle this horrible disease.
This is why we’re proud of Cheryl’s efforts and even though she’s now completed her challenge we still urge as many of you to donate what you can to her JustGiving page.
She’s already smashed her £500 target, but Cancer is relentless so the fight goes on and every penny helps.
It won’t buy her a (probably!) much needed new washing machine, but it will help towards saving someone’s life.
