Supporters arriving early for Saturday’s William Hill Championship opener against Queen’s Park will be treated to a special pre-match performance from the West Lothian Schools Pipe Band.

The award-winning band will perform on the pitch from 2:45pm, helping to build the atmosphere ahead of kick-off before the teams emerge from the tunnel with a bang…

Formed in 2007, the West Lothian Schools Pipe Band has become one of Scotland’s leading youth pipe bands, providing free musical tuition to young people across West Lothian while proudly representing the region at competitions and community events. Last year, the band enjoyed remarkable success, being crowned both Scottish Champions and World Champions in the Novice Juvenile A grade.

As the band looks ahead to its 20th anniversary celebrations in 2027, members are fundraising towards a once-in-a-lifetime trip to take part in the world-famous Tartan Day Parade in New York.

To help support that fundraising effort, members of the band will also be carrying out a bucket collection outside the Home of the Set Fare Arena from 1.45pm, with any donations greatly appreciated.
